I am a writer, editor, Reiki Master (Usui Shiki Ryoho) and Herbalist who enjoys writing about diverse cultural sensitivities, and the ability to bring balance into daily lives and work environments.

After graduating from the University of Calgary’s International Relations and Communication’s Program I worked in various communications oriented jobs including the Office of Public Affairs for the U.S. Consulate General in Calgary, Canada, and as the Editor-in-Chief of an award winning Canadian multicultural magazine that was circulated internationally. My various jobs allowed me the ability to travel the world, however my love of natural balanced holistic living that I learned from my travels and my Greek family inspired me to study this area further, first by delving into the world of Hippocrates (the Father of Modern Day Medicine), followed by becoming a Certified Reiki Master, and finally received my certification in Herbalism from Canada’s First School of Nutrition, the Packard School of Nutrition. Later on, living in Hawaii for two years allowed me to learn about local holistic and spiritual practices, and study aromatherapy under Hawaii’s award winning aromatherapist Alexandra Avery.

As a compassionate Reiki Master and Herbalist, my aim is to provide my clients with the tools they need to reach and maintain a state of balance and optimal health. I will share my knowledge of balanced living from around the world, allowing readers to choose the concepts most appropriate to their lives on their personal road to balance.

I married late in life, at 39, and soon found myself pregnant and having my first child at 40. Although I was born and raised in Canada with strong Greek roots, I married a Greek- American enlisted in the US Air Force. I had a whirlwind of a life starting in my 30’s that began with a lot of stress until I met my husband, then life began to move even faster and I had to learn a new way of living – military life away from close friends and family. My ability to stick to many holistic practices allowed me to keep balance or bring me back to balance when life was completely off.

I understand how easy it is for the stresses of daily life to throw one’s health off balance, especially when there is not much support around you. I’d like to share with you my approach to how I live. It’s not easy keeping balance in your life, but it certainly takes effort.

Countries and Cultures I explored include:

Greece, Germany, France, Poland, Sweden, Luxembourg, Netherlands, USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Singapore.
