HERBALISM – HEALTHY LIVING EXPERTISE

Herbalism – Healthy Living Expertise

Hippocrates, the founding father of Western/Modern Medicine was the first to say, “Let food be your medicine, and medicine be your food.”  Herbalism is a form of preventative medicine with a focus on including certain whole foods and herbs in your diet for better health, longevity and/or coping with an existing ailment.

The key is maintaining a healthy balanced lifestyle so that you don’t get to the point where you need serious medical care.  Chinese Herbalists have been practicing this method for thousands of years.

Having optimum health means you must start by listening to your body and the messages it is giving you from aches, pains, excretions, lack of mobility, discomfort, nausea, and headaches, just to name a few.

I view Herbalism as a rejuvenating and replenishing therapeutic practice when combining it with a balanced way of living.  The goal everyone should have in life is to aim for a balanced lifestyle.  For me, this includes Diet/Nutrition, Meditation/Prayer, Exercise, Stress Relievers (i.e. Reiki, Tai Chi, Qi Gong), Social and Service-Oriented Activities, Acupuncture, Essential Oils, Herbs and Herbal Teas.

Taking steps to be conscious of your body and its current state is your first step.  Quiet-time/Meditation/Prayer/Contemplation in a quiet room or in nature can help you get to your first step in personal awareness, and unlock your consciousness to know what part of your life or lifestyle requires balance.

I prefer an Integrative Medicine Approach, which means I want you to see your regular family doctor while you consult with me (whether it be receiving Reiki Healing Therapy or getting an analysis of your lifestyle).  I require you to provide me with all your symptoms and express how you are feeling before, during, and after treatments or advice.  You are the expert on how you feel and I am here to help you overcome your symptoms and provide the tools to help your body get to its optimum health and balance.

I do not prescribe or diagnose, I suggest and advise. You need to give me feedback on what advice you choose to follow.
